Peer Review Policy

Approximation Theory and Special Functions (ATSF) operates a single-blind peer review system to ensure the quality and integrity of published articles.

Initial Screening: All submitted manuscripts are initially evaluated by the Editor-in-Chief or an Associate Editor to determine their suitability for the journal’s aims and scope, as well as compliance with ethical and technical standards.

Peer Review Process: Manuscripts deemed appropriate are sent to at least two independent expert reviewers. Reviewers are aware of the authors’ identities, while the authors are not informed of the reviewers’ identities (single-blind review). Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on originality, technical soundness, clarity, and contribution to the field.

Editorial Decision: After receiving the reviewers’ reports, the editor may decide to:

• Accept the manuscript,
• Request minor or major revisions, or
• Reject the submission.

Authors are notified of the decision with detailed feedback. Revised versions may be re-evaluated by the same reviewers when necessary.

Ethical Standards: The journal adheres to the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and ensures confidentiality, impartiality, and transparency throughout the review process.
